WHO WE ARE

You've been looking for a place like this for a long time.

Not another overwhelming environment. Not another place that feels impersonal or hard to fit into. You’ve been looking for a community where women and families can show up as they are, feel comfortable, build real connections, and genuinely belong.

That’s what Travel and Art Club is. A small-group community built around creativity, shared experiences, and meaningful connection in a calm, inclusive, sensory-friendly environment.

OUR MISSION

Travel and Art Club exists to create welcoming spaces where women, families, and small groups can connect through creativity, shared experiences, and community.

We believe learning happens through living. Art, travel, and community aren't extras — they're how growth actually works.

Not everyone is looking for a big, busy environment. We intentionally create smaller, welcoming experiences where people can connect in a more natural and meaningful way

In a world that often feels rushed, disconnected, and overwhelming, meaningful connection matters more than ever.

This is where we come in. Our job isn't to be another thing you try. It's to be the thing that finally works — because it was built differently from the start.

MEET ALANAH

I didn't choose this work.

It chose me.

I started Travel and Art Club because I wanted to create the kind of space I personally longed for — somewhere people could connect, create, and just enjoy life together without pressure.

Over the years, I’ve worked in group homes, provided in-home support, earned my degree in psychology from Arizona State University, trained as an Applied Behavior Analysis therapist, and built an independent practice in Middle Tennessee focused on tutoring, life skills support, and advocacy. In 2023, Travel and Art Club officially became an LLC, I opened my office, and I began shifting toward a more experiential approach centered around travel, creativity, and real-life experiences.

The older I get, the more I realize how important experiences are. Some of the best moments happen in simple ways; talking while working on a project, laughing during a trip, or feeling comfortable enough to fully be yourself around other people.

Travel and Art Club grew from my own desire to live life more intentionally and encourage others to do the same. I wanted to build something that felt welcoming, genuine, and grounded in real experiences and real connection.

What matters most to me is that people feel comfortable when they walk through the door. Not like they have to perform or fit into some expectation — just a place where they can explore new interests, build friendships, and experience more of life in a meaningful way.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

Where Art, Travel & Real Growth Come Together —

 Not Just Another Program

There are programs that do art. Programs that do travel. Programs that build life skills. Travel and Art Club is where all three come together — in a community that actually feels like one.

We learn through living, not simulating.

We learn through living, not simulating.

Our members aren't practicing skills in artificial settings. They're navigating real restaurants, real airports, real conversations, and real decisions — with support that fades into the background as confidence grows.

We're neurodiversity-affirming. Not deficit-focused.

We're neurodiversity-affirming. Not deficit-focused.

We are not here to fix anyone. We design every experience to honor different learning styles, communication needs, and ways of experiencing the world. Growth happens because people feel safe — not because they're being corrected.

Belonging comes before performance.

Belonging comes before performance.

Many programs lead with outcomes. We lead with connection. When someone feels genuinely welcomed and accepted, the skills follow naturally. That's not a philosophy. It's what we've watched happen, over and over.

Small groups. Real relationships.

Our experiences are intentionally small so we can actually know each person. No one gets lost in the crowd here. Every participant is known, supported, and noticed.
